Subdivision surveying consists of a boundary survey on a tract of land with the intention of turning it into a platted subdivision. This would include the sizing and location of lots (set-backs and easements) and streets depending upon City or County zoning ordinances. These surveys are required by developers before seeking approval of City Councils (City) or Commissioners Court (County).
